Air Content Meters for Fresh Concrete
Air content meters for fresh concrete are used in quality control of concrete mixes, particularly with respect to workability, durability and structural resistance. A properly adjusted and calibrated instrument is essential for reliable determination of the air volume in concrete according to the requirements of technical standards.
Metrological activities for air content meters
- Calibration of air content meters for fresh concrete according to STN EN 12350-7.
- Functional check and assessment of technical condition; if required, cleaning of the vessel (price according to the current price list).
- Determination of the volume of the test vessel for fresh concrete density tests by the gravimetric method, up to 10 dm³.
- Calibration of the air-content scale in the range from 0% to 10% of air volume in the test vessel.
- Calibration at 7 calibration points.
- Determination of air volume in the test vessel by the gravimetric method, ensuring traceability to mass and volume standards.
- Evaluation of measurement results and issuance of a calibration certificate.
