Testing Machines and Presses
Force testing machines are used for mechanical testing of materials in tension and compression, for example when evaluating the strength of concrete, steel and other structural materials. The accuracy of force measurement directly affects the reliability of test results and the assessment of structural capacity, therefore regular metrological control is essential.
Metrological activities for testing machines and presses
- Calibration of force testing machines for mechanical testing of materials in accordance with STN EN ISO 7500-1 and STN EN 12390-4.
- Calibration range from 20 N to 5000 kN.
- Calibration by direct comparison using a set of reference electrical force transducers with precision strain-gauge measuring amplifiers.
- Verification of force testing machines used as legally controlled measuring instruments in accordance with Annex No. 39 to Decree of ÚNMS SR No. 161/2019 Coll.
