Concrete Hardness Testers (Original Schmidt and Silver Schmidt)

Schmidt-type concrete hardness testers (Original Schmidt, Silver Schmidt) are used for non-destructive estimation of concrete compressive strength, both for quality control and diagnostics of existing structures. The reliability of measurement results depends on a correctly set rebound value, which is why regular calibration and metrological inspection of these devices is essential.

Metrological activities for concrete hardness testers

  • Calibration of Original Schmidt and Silver Schmidt concrete hardness testers.
  • Metrological traceability by measuring the rebound value of the Schmidt hammer on a reference anvil.
  • Verification of concrete hardness testers used as legally controlled measuring instruments in accordance with Annex No. 40 to Decree of ÚNMS SR No. 161/2019 Coll.
